Pan-European Network for Neuroscience Research Infrastructure and Strengthening of Support Capacities

On 26 March 2024, the Jerzy Maj Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IF PAS) signed an agreement to launch the PANERIS project, a new European initiative aimed at advancing neuroscience research and cooperation.

The project is implemented by a prestigious international consortium coordinated by Vilnius University (Lithuania) and comprising:

  • Maj Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences (Poland)
  • João Lobo Antunes Institute of Molecular Medicine (Portugal)
  • Barcelona Clinical Research Foundation (Spain)
  • August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (Spain)

Project budget: €1,046,012.50
Funding for IP PAS: €258,550.00
Duration: 1 May 2024 – 30 April 2026

PANERIS aims to strengthen collaboration in neuroscience among participating institutions, facilitate the exchange of expertise and skills among early-career researchers, and address key topics related to research administration and ethics. By fostering closer links and building joint capacity, the project will contribute to the free flow of knowledge, methodologies, and technologies within the European Research Area.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the consortium members to creating a sustainable, interconnected European neuroscience community, driving forward innovation and excellence in brain research.

Pan-European Network for Neuroscience Research Infrastructure and Strengthening of Support capacities has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement ID: 101160180.
