6th Central European Biomedical Congress (CEBC)

From 22 to 24 July 2025, the city of Kraków will become a hub of European biomedical science and innovation. This is where the 6th Central European Biomedical Congress (CEBC) will take place under the theme: Integrating Neuropharmacology and Bioinformatics with AI.

The Congress is jointly organized by the Jerzy Maj Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Jagiellonian University, and the AGH University of Krakow. The event is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Kraków, the Rectors of both universities and Division V of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

CEBC 2025 will bring together approximately 50 speakers and hundreds of participants from leading research institutions in Poland and worldwide. The program includes plenary lectures, thematic sessions, and a Young Investigators Forum, along with a dedicated ERC expert session focused on research funding opportunities.

The Congress will focus on pioneering advances at the intersection of neuropharmacology, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence, particularly in the context of diagnosing and treating neurological disorders, and explore the frontier of healthcare innovation—where advanced neuroimaging, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence converge to revolutionize the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of 21st-century diseases.

Discover cutting-edge breakthroughs and help shape the future of medicine.

Key topics include:

  • disease and treatment associations in genome data banks,
  • non-communicable diseases,
  • materials for medical applications,
  • neuroinformatics, computational neuroscience, deep learning,
  • new models and tools for stem cell research,
  • research methods and modelling in medical applications,
  • serotonin 5-HT6 receptor for treatment strategies,
  • novel diagnostics methods in medicine,
  • bioinformatics for improved analysis,
  • brain resilience.

The CEBC is also a space for young researchers to present their findings and engage with leading experts during sessions devoted to career development and grant writing, including guidance on obtaining prestigious European Research Council (ERC) grants.

Don’t miss this opportunity to share your research, network with leaders in the field, and explore the future of biomedical science!
